Winter is coming quickly and there are some things you should do to keep your home working properly. We’ve found that a lot of people forget that their home doesn’t maintain itself. At Jorgenson Builders we want to help you remember what your home needs. Here’s a list of a few things you might want to think about:

Change your furnace filter – this should be done every three months
Drain your water heater – this should be done at least once a year
Seal your concrete – this should be done once a year and helps a lot to keep your concrete looking good
Blow out all of your sprinklers if you live somewhere it freezes
Check the seals on all of your doors to make sure you’re getting the best insulation possible
If you have a fireplace, make sure its clean and in working order
Make sure your rain gutters drain properly so water doesn’t freeze in them
